DHAKA, MARCH 31, 2016 – Two visiting United States official delegations accompanied by Ambassador Marcia S. Bernicat had fruitful meetings today with Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan at the Ministry of Home Affairs. The U.S. Department of State Under Secretary for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights Sarah Sewall and her delegation and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary for International Affairs Alan Bersin and his delegation had separate meetings with Minister of Home Affairs Khan across a broad range of issues including civilian security, human rights, countering violent extremism, law enforcement, aviation security and expanding areas for further cooperation. These meetings provided a valuable opportunity to exchange views towards enhancing security collaboration.
