DHAKA, APRIL 8, 2020 — The United States Embassy, including the Consular Section, will be closed on Thursday, April 9, 2020, in observance of Shab-e-Barat, and on Tuesday, April 14, in observance of Bengali New Year. Emergency services for American citizens will be available on both holidays. Please call (88) (02) 5566-2000 to speak with the duty officer.
The U.S. Embassy will maintain normal working hours April 12-13 and April 15-16 and thereafter, including providing emergency services for American citizens. Due to the government holiday, public transportation will be limited, and American citizens with appointments may experience difficulty getting to the Embassy.
