U.S. Citizen Services

Due to disruptions to passport print facility in the U.S. during the COVID-19 pandemic, routine passport services are suspended at U.S. Embassies worldwide, including at the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka. Emergency passport services, notary services, and Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) processing continues. To schedule an emergency appointment, applicants should email the American Citizen Services unit at DhakaACS@state.gov  and explain the nature of their emergency.

U.S. citizens, who have not already done so, are encouraged to enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive Mission Dhaka updates.

Welcome to the U.S. Embassy Dhaka American Citizen Services Section. Click on the links below for more information on the services we provide.
