Travel Alert – U.S. Embassy Dhaka, Bangladesh (April 12, 2020)

Event: Registration for the chartered flight to Washington, D.C. on Monday, April 13, 2020 has ended. All confirmed passengers and those on the stand-by list have received an e-mail with further instructions. Unless you received an e-mail from the Embassy, please do not come to the airport on Monday.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh extended the suspension of all scheduled international commercial passenger flights to and from Bahrain, Bhutan, Hong Kong, India, Kuwait, Malaysia, Maldives, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, UAE and UK until April 30. All domestic commercial passenger flights are also suspended until April 30. These suspensions will not affect the scheduled chartered flight to Washington, D.C. on Monday, April 13.
We understand there are still many U.S. citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents (LPRs) who are seeking to depart Bangladesh. At this time, we do not have another chartered flight authorized but we continue to accept information from U.S. citizens and LPRs who wish to return to the United States. We will post updates on our website as soon as we can.
If you wish to travel to the United States if another flight becomes available, and you did not fill out this form for the last flight, please provide your information here. Please do not call the Embassy to confirm your information; we will e-mail you if you are confirmed for a future flight.
