DHAKA, November 21, 2016 – U.S. Embassy Dhaka will host a Facebook chat with Rumana Ahmed, Senior Advisor to President Obama’s Deputy National Security Advisor at the White House, on November 22 at 7 pm.  During the chat, Ms. Ahmed will answer questions about her experiences as a Bangladeshi American woman working in the White House.

During her time at the National Security Council, Ms. Ahmed’s work has encompassed global entrepreneurship focused on women and youth; normalization of US-Cuba relations; rebalance in Asia; and President Obama’s engagements with Muslim Americans, including his historic visit to a mosque in Baltimore earlier this year. Prior to this role, Ms. Ahmed served in the Office of Public Engagement as the interim liaison to the Muslim American, Arab American, and Iranian American communities. She also directed the White House’s Champions of Change initiative.

Please include your questions in the comments section of the announcement that will be added to the Embassy’s Facebook page on November 21. For further information and updates, please check our Facebook page: facebook.com/bangladesh.usembassy
