Dhaka, March 21, 2016 – A team from the U.S. Department of Defense’s Center for Excellence in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance (CFE) has arrived in Bangladesh to collaborate on disaster management. The CFE team will engage government, military, private, and public disaster stakeholders in Bangladesh on strategies and best practices for disaster preparedness and civil-military cooperation. The visit is aimed at supporting future cooperation between the United States and Bangladesh in this area.
“By exchanging ideas on how to prepare for natural disasters, we enhance our ability to respond to a crisis and protect our citizens,” said Chargé d’affaires David Meale. “Developing this partnership helps both our countries.”
