On Monday, April 24, 2017, Chargé d’Affaires Andrea Brouillette-Rodriguez attended the exhibition “Threads of Change: Celebrating the Lives of Garment Workers” in the Bengal Art Lounge, Dhaka. The exhibition showcased photographs by the internationally acclaimed photographer Alison Wright, reflecting the lives of Bangladeshi workers from the apparel industry.
Fashion Revolution Bangladesh is encouraging people around the world to ask brands #WhoMadeMyClothes during Fashion Revolution Week 2017 from April 24-30, to help improve the working conditions and wages of the people who make our clothes. Bangladesh is one of over 90 countries involved in the Fashion Revolution movement and will be calling on people across the country to take part in the campaign for a fairer, safer, cleaner fashion industry. This year they teamed up with SNV Netherlands Development Organisation to showcase this event.
