The U.S. Embassy in Bangladesh is delighted to announce the 2023 Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) opportunity. Since its inception in 2011, the U.S. Department of State has funded over 500 AEIF projects led worldwide by alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs. AEIF grants support exchange alumni team initiatives that increase regional and global collaboration of alumni, support U.S. foreign policy objectives, and benefit local communities. We seek proposals from teams of at least two alumni that meet all program eligibility requirements on the following three topics:
- Developing entrepreneurial and English language skills for marginalized populations, such as the Rohingya and indigenous groups in Bangladesh.
- Supporting underprivileged youth by providing soft skill training.
- Preserving cultural heritage of endangered communities like Rohingya.
Proposals may request funds from $5,000 to $35,000. Send your AEIF proposal package (completed application and budget forms) to Alumni Outreach Coordinator, Mushfiq Hassan (HassanMX@state.gov), by no later than 11:59 pm on Monday, January 30, 2023 (Note: proposals received after the deadline will not be considered for this year’s funding opportunity).
